Our own ice experiment…

Last week we were scientists! We completed our own experiments with partially frozen water. We had to bang the bottles on the table to turn the rest of the water into ice!  We then talked about how the ice felt  and put a cube on our tongues!

Autumn Term Lap Books

This term, the children have been producing their ‘All About Me’ lap-books. The books are tailored uniquely to each child, whilst inside contains specific details and information about the children and their lives, all designed by them.

The children have vastly enjoyed making these lap-books and wish to make similar pieces next term. We invite you to observe the finished products on our next Thumbs up Thursday.

Investigating Winter Weather!

This week the weather has been very cold and icy. The children in Reception have been investigating the cold weather looking closely at how water turns into ice.

We added different things into the water for example, food colouring, feathers, leaves, plastic insects, glitter and then we left the water outside overnight and watched the magic happen. We had great fun exploring the ice melt.
