On Wednesday 13th September, Year 5 and 6 were treated to a day of song and music at Clonter Opera Theatre in Congleton and we all had so much fun!

Our first activity was to make a mini design set- the children could choose for their theme to be either: Year 3000, World War I, Island themed or Winter Wonderland and without any question, all of the Year 6’s chose their theme as World War I (which is very fitting as we are doing World War II as our topic this term!) All of the children did a fabulous job and one of our teams even won the best set design and were presented with a certificate- well done to the winning team

In maths we used negative numbers to count back from zero using a human numberline.                                      

We had a lovely time at Clonter Opera learning how design stages and the pitch of different voices.  We also watched the musical show in the theatre.
