What a special day we have had today playing on the field, measuring our height for the last day in Year 1 and having a lovely ice cream on the big playground.
This afternoon Year 1 have identified many of the different trees in our forest by looking at the leaves. They then explored the forest and had lots of fun!
Lots of fun was had by the Dragons, Cats and Unicorns !
Having fun during sports day with difference.
Today the EYFS pod went on a secret mission to surprise Mrs Davenport for her 80th Birthday.
The children have been busy making cards and presents all week.
I think Mrs Davenport was very surprised to see us at the bottom of her drive singing Happy Birthday!
Year 1 have been busy this week investigating dinosaurs. We found an egg in the woods on Tuesday hidden away, wrote diary entries about the egg and today we have made dinosaur poo! We looked at the diets of different dinosaurs and what herbivores, carnivores and omnivores ate. We then made our poo for each diet type.
Today Year 1 started the day by writing silly sentences all about dinosaurs making sure they included verbs. Later that day we discussed how dinosaurs move and the children then created their own dances moving like a dinosaur.
Chloe performed the song she had written for our music lesson today. I didn’t know she had such a great voice.
Yesterday and today we have been busy learning all about dinosaurs! We researched facts about them and then learnt about fossils. We then collected some items from our woodland area and printed them into playdough to create fossils.
