Over the last two ŵeeks we have been using ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ as our Talk for Writing text. So far we have created character maps for all of the main characters,  taken on the roles of the different characters using masks, ordered the story and created a class story map to enable us to retell the story.

Today we decided that we would like to make our own apple pie, just like Little Red Riding Hood’s mum. We all had a go at cutting the apples and butter, mixing the ingredients for the pastry and pinching the sides of the pastry to create the top of the pie. We then put it in the oven and all took a lovely piece of warm apple pie home with us!
