Mad About Minibeasts

Today the children have been finding out about Minibeasts as we have been reading the story of The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

We went to our school’s wildlife garden to find out if we could find any Minibeasts and where they like to live.

The children looked in the grass, in the flower beds, under logs and stones, and in the school’s bug hotel.

We found lots of Minibeasts…snails, ants, ladybirds, centipedes, slugs, and a woodlouse.

Our next step in our learning is to make our very own bug hotel with Nursery in our Foundation Stage Outdoor area.
