Yesterday we left a pack of cookies in the classroom ready for today’s maths lesson. When we came in this morning the biscuits had gone! All that was left was a trail of crumbs leading to the open classroom window that was covered in green finger prints!
Today we have been learning about other cultures and traditions. We have learnt about the festival of light – Diwali. We made Diva lights using modelling clay and beads.
Today in Nursery and Reception we have been learning about Bonfire Night. Using our science skills, we made our own firework display with vinegar and bicarbonate soda. We have also made firework pictures by mixing different colours together and printing them on black paper
We have made chocolate sparklers using melted chocolate, breadsticks, and sprinkles. We took them home to show our grown up and enjoy.
Today in Reception and Nursery we have been learning about Bonfire Night. Using our science skills we made fireworks using coca cola and sweets.
This term we have decided that each Wednesday we will be making the most of the woods and spending the morning learning outdoors. Today we have been building ramps for our cars and looking at how we could make them go faster or slower.
Our new topic is all about transport and we have all enjoyed playing in our new train role play area today!
