Today the children have been using their counting skills, number recognition skills, and ordering skills in Maths. The children had to order the numbers to 10 or to 20.

This week the children have been focusing on poetry for their English home learning tasks. Joe wrote and performed his poem.

Today in our home learning science lesson, the children learnt about the circulatory system.

Luis, Zack and Izzy all did detailed drawings.

Today we have made potions to try and cure ‘Dragon Pox’ from the story Princess Mirror Belle. The children had to use their counting skills to count out the different ingredients, for example, 2 squirts of soap, 5 feathers.

We have also been busy playing in our outside area.

Today we have been thinking about the people in our community who have been helping us in our community. The children then thought about who they wanted to be when they are older.

Some of the children in Reception came back to school today. We had a great day with lots of fun and laughter.

We started our day with a ‘Wake and Shake’ routine.

We have had lots of fun in our outdoor area enjoying the lovely sunshine.

In our Maths work we started reading the story – Princess Mirror Belle which was all about a princess who lived in a castle. We have made castles with 3D shapes. Once we had made our castles we looked at which different shapes we could spot in our models.
