We had a brilliant time making colour wheels as part of our light topic. We were all amazed to find that when we spun the wheel that all you could see was white…
On Thursday morning, year 4,5 and 6 went to Crewe Lyceum to perform a Broadway and Motown medley. A special thank you to Miss Booth for helping us to learn all of the words and movements to the songs.
Wow- we had a super last afternoon of the half term. We learned all about ratio and proportion and then put our skills to the test to make mocktails. We were given 4 different juices to choose from and had to measure then find the percentage, fraction and then the ratio. We finally got to test our new creations.. Some of us enjoyed and some didn’t.
Have a fab Easter!
Last Friday, we held our Staff vs Pupils football matches, all in aid of Sport Relief. We had a fantastic turnout of players (both pupils and staff) and amazing support from pupil and parents.
We managed to raise just over £420!! Thank you so much for everyone’s support, it was a very enjoyable evening for staff and pupils alike (as well as lots of sore teachers over the weekend!)
Nursery have been very busy cooking up some lovely Easter treats! We worked on our physical development by stirring our treats and pouring the chocolate into the mold. We were very careful making sure that our chocolate went into the mold and not the table! We also picked the colour of our cases for our Easter nests.
Class 2 had a great time sharing a wonderful breakfast (that they had made) with their parents this morning. Over the week, they have been busy making their very own lighthouses, baking breakfast muffins, flapjacks and scones and making lunch boxes, all linked to our text ‘The Lighthouse Keeper’s Lunch’. They loved sharing their great achievements with all the Mums, Dads and Grandparents.
