The children have worked hard this week on anti-bullying and after a few live lessons in class the children have taken inspiration to create a graffiti wall. Spreading the message of how we can ‘Reach Out’ each child has left their mark on the wall and hope that the rest of the school will be able to look at it and the message from Year 6 will be passed on.

Jumping to success!
Holly G in Year 6 jumped her way to 2nd place in the North Staffordshire Trampolining Club Competition at the weekend. Her routine involved: a front landing, straddle jump, seat landing, half twist, tuck jump, pike jump and a back landing! What a fantastic achievement – well done Holly!

Today Year 6 walked to the Town War memorial to pay our respects to the fallen.

We have had an exciting day in school dressed up in our spooky costumes today.
Netball
The netball team tried really hard in the first league night of the year yesterday. They played Saint Mary’s first, unfortunately losing 5~0 but pulled it back in the second match against Smallwood to get a draw of 0~0.
Great teamwork, netballers! Players’ Player of the matches went to Thomas!
Mr Rowe’s Special Birthday!
Today we celebrated Mr Rowe’s 50th birthday by surprising him with banners, balloons and singing Happy Birthday!
Happy Teacher’s Day!
Today we celebrated Teacher’s Day by giving each teacher and teaching assistant a chocolate orange! It was very much appreciated and some teachers couldn’t resist the temptation of eating a piece before lunch!
McMillan Coffee Morning
Year 6 have been busy this morning helping to run the coffee morning to raise money for the McMillan charity. They also couldn’t resist tasting the cakes!
Year 6 circulatory system
Year 6 learnt about the circulatory system today and how it moves blood around the body. They looked at how the body needs oxygenated and deoxygenated blood to enable it to work and drew the system within their bodies.

Goodbye Year 6 2021-2022
Today is Year 6’s last day. They have had an amazing year and time at Marlfields. The children should be exceptionally proud of all their achievements and we wish them luck and happiness for their bright futures ahead.
Year 6 Production – THE AMAZING ADVENTURES OF SUPERMAN!
The Year 6’s put on a superb performance on Wednesday night. They were all stars and dazzled the audience with their energetic singing and dancing. Stanley Marvel (Matteo) was a clumsy clot but always dreamed of being a superhero. With a dose of secret formula and a pair of anti-gravity pants from his gran (Nevaeh) he crushed the Candy King (Leo) and saved the planet!
Our last Marlfields sports day .
Year 6 took part in their last sports day at Marlfields Primary Academy and a good time was had by all.
Boreatton Park Day 3
The children started the day with a game of Wacky races. They had a range of challenges to complete whilst racing in teams.
Our final activity was Jacob’s ladder. Each child climbed the ladder whilst the other children were belaying.
The children have had a fabulous time at Boreatton Park. They have been amazing and we’re really proud of their achievements.
